Frequently asked questions
Is it permitted to edit photos or videos before submission?
No. Any alteration of visual materials — retouching, application of filters, color grading, or any other form of digital processing — is strictly prohibited. Any breach of this rule results in the immediate and permanent disqualification of the participant, with no right of appeal. Registration fees are non-refundable.
What is The Healed Championship?
The Healed Championship is an international online championship dedicated to permanent makeup, built on a distinctive principle: only fully healed results are submitted for evaluation — not fresh work. The healed result is the sole objective indicator of a practitioner's true skill: it reveals the actual quality of technique, precision of execution, and long-term stability of the outcome.
Who can participate in the championship?
The championship is open to all permanent makeup practitioners, regardless of their level of experience — from those just beginning their career to international trainers and judges. Years of practice, country of residence, and social media following are not selection criteria. The sole criterion is the quality of the healed result submitted.
How does the judging process work?
Each submission undergoes a multi-level evaluation process. For each category, a panel of judges from different countries is assembled. Judges are presented with the entries only at the time of evaluation, with no prior information about the participants. To ensure maximum objectivity, each category is additionally reviewed by an independent judge.
How many categories can I enter?
There is no limit to the number of categories a participant may enter. For each category, a unique identification number is assigned. This number replaces the participant's identity during the evaluation process, ensuring full anonymity.
Can I enter multiple models in the same category?
Yes, it is possible to participate with an unlimited number of models within the same category. Each model is assigned a distinct identification number, used during evaluation in place of the participant's identity. Registration fees are calculated per model and must be paid separately for each submission.
When and how are the results announced?
Once the submission period closes, the organizing committee reviews all entries before forwarding them to the jury. At the conclusion of the judging process, scores are tallied and the final rankings are established. Results are typically published within two weeks of the closing date. Exact dates are communicated in advance on the official website and the championship's social media channels.
Do photos need to meet a specific format?
Yes. Upon registration, each participant receives a comprehensive guide specifying the required angles, technical photography conditions, and submission rules applicable to each category. Compliance with these requirements is a condition for the entry to be accepted.
Can I obtain a refund after payment?
We strongly encourage participants to read the terms and conditions in full before completing payment. As the championship takes place entirely online, participants are provided with a preparation and submission window of over four months. Accordingly, the registration fee is final upon payment and no refund will be granted under any circumstances.
Is the championship held online or in person?
The championship is conducted entirely online. No travel is required and the procedure is not performed live. Each participant freely selects their model, the date, and the location of the procedure, within the established submission deadlines.
How many touch-ups may be performed before submitting the healed result?
There is no limit to the number of touch-ups prior to submission. If the participant determines that one or more additional corrections are necessary to achieve an optimal result, these may be performed before the submission deadline. The sole requirement is strict adherence to the established timeline.
Is additional makeup permitted on the model?
Light makeup is permitted, provided it is not applied to the area being evaluated. The judges must be able to assess the genuine result of the procedure, without any product that could alter or artificially enhance the treated area.
Do participants have access to the judges' scores?
Yes. Following the official publication of results, participants are granted access to the scores awarded and to information about the judges who evaluated their submission. Upon request, a detailed commentary on the submitted work may also be provided.
Is it possible to submit work that has previously competed in another championship?
Yes. This is one of the defining features of The Healed Championship. If a work has previously competed in a fresh-work championship, its healed result may be submitted for a new evaluation from a different perspective. Authorship of the work must be duly verified.
Is it possible to submit work performed on a client?
Yes. Work performed on a client is accepted on equal terms with work performed on a model. The essential condition is the ability to attest that the procedure was personally carried out by the declaring participant.
May a healed result be submitted without a prior touch-up?
In exceptional circumstances, this is permitted. If the touch-up could not be performed for reasons beyond the participant's control, this must be indicated at the time of submission. A specific note will be brought to the attention of the jury.
What payment methods are available?
Several payment options are available to accommodate participants from around the world. Participants based in Ukraine may settle their fees via PrivatBank or monobank. At the international level, payments are accepted through PayPal, Revolut, and Wise. Payment can also be made directly through the official championship website.
